This division covers the process of transformation involving the casting of a liquid metal into a mold to reproduce a specific part, after cooling.
Le Bélier offers customers a range foundry services involving a number of technologies:
- Pressure die-casting, for precision parts that do not require specific mechanical features;
- Gravity die-casting, Le Bélier's core business, a technique for achieving superior mechanical characteristics;
- Rheocasting, an interim process between forging and foundry activities that offers superior mechanical characteristics and a lighter weight product;
- Sand-casting, for the manufacture of small series for the aeronautics sector.
Starting with a "rough cast" product, machining makes it possible to produce high precision mechanical parts with tolerances in microns.
To meet customer demand, LE BELIER machines approximately 10% of its production.
Le Bélier designs and produces virtually all its foundry tools itself. This contributes to assuring its independence and protecting the confidentiality of its know-how.
